The brand was created to make darker graphic wear feel more disciplined — less noise, less clutter, more intent. Every piece is built in black and white, using bold contrast, stripped-back composition, and strong graphic forms to create clothing that feels confident, modern, and unapologetically direct.
At the centre of 89 BLACK is a simple idea: powerful design does not need excess.
That thinking runs through everything we do — from the visual language of the brand to the way each collection is built. Rather than flooding the store with endless graphics, 89 BLACK focuses on tighter, more intentional drops designed to feel like real collections, not throwaway designs.
Our first release, THE WILD, sets the tone: a six-piece monochrome animal capsule built around instinct, tension, structure, and force. Each design is part of the same visual system, giving the collection a unified identity while allowing every piece to hold its own.
89 BLACK also aims to move with more awareness. As the brand grows, we want to make more considered choices — around production, garments, and how products are released. Not as a slogan, and not as decoration — just as part of building the brand properly.
