Here's everything you need to know about shipping from 89 BLACK.
How our shipping works
Every 89 BLACK item is printed on demand β we don't hold stock. When you place an order:
- Your order is sent to our print partner (Printful)
- They print, cut, and sew your item
- They pack it and hand it to a shipping carrier
- It arrives at your door
Because of this two-stage process, total delivery time = production time + shipping time.

Typically 10β20 business days from order to delivery, depending on the destination.
During peak seasons (Black Friday through December, public holidays), production can take a few extra days. We'll flag significant delays in our site banner if they occur.
Shipping costs
- Standard UK shipping: Β£4.99
- Free UK shipping on orders over Β£50
- International shipping calculated at checkout (varies by destination)
We try to keep shipping costs as close to actual cost as possible β we don't mark them up.
Order tracking
Once your order ships, you'll get an email with a tracking link. Tracking may take 24 hours to show its first scan after the parcel is picked up β don't worry if it looks idle at first.
Shipping to multiple countries
We ship worldwide via Printful's fulfilment network. If you don't see your country at checkout, email us at support@89black.com β we can usually add it.
Customs, duties & taxes (international orders)
For orders shipped outside the UK:
- You may be responsible for import duties, customs fees, or VAT charged by your country on arrival
- These are not included in our shipping costs and are determined by your country's customs
- We can't predict or prepay these charges
- If you refuse a parcel due to customs charges, the order can't normally be refunded (the parcel may be destroyed by customs or returned to Printful in unsellable condition)
If you're unsure about customs in your country, check with your local postal service or government website before ordering.
Undelivered packages
If a package is returned to Printful because the address was wrong or no one collected it:
- We'll email you to let you know
- We can re-ship to a corrected address β you'll only pay re-shipping costs
- If you'd rather cancel, we can refund the item but not the original shipping cost (we've already paid that once)
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. It's much cheaper for everyone.
Delayed or missing orders
If your estimated delivery window has passed:
- Check your tracking β most "missing" parcels have actually arrived or are on the way
- Check with neighbours and any safe places the carrier might use
- If it's been more than 5 business days past the estimate, email us at support@89black.com and we'll investigate
Lost-in-transit cases usually resolve within 7β14 days once we open an investigation. We'll send a replacement or refund once confirmed lost.
Environmental impact
Print-on-demand means we don't produce items that never sell β nothing ends up in warehouses or landfills because of overproduction. The trade-off is longer shipping times than fast-fashion sites. We think that's worth it.
Our packaging is minimal (no plastic inserts or branded frippery) and mostly recyclable.
